Before My IT, Perryn worked at Design the Planet, a New Orleans brand marketing & design firm where he led their construction marketing division, The Brand Constructors, and became a nationally recognized thought leader in the building industry. Perryn then worked with Hinge Marketing, a national professional services marketing firm that specialized in high-growth build and technology industry companies. As a marketing strategist, Perryn has developed business growth strategies for solopreneurs to multi-billion-dollar companies nationwide.

He is a certified marketer with SMPS (Society of Marketing Professional Services) and the Construction Marketing Association, past president and hall of fame member of SMPS Southeast Louisiana, and past co-chair of SMPS Southern Regional Conference. He has spoken and written extensively within the building and tech industries, and in 2014, he wrote the Construction Executive’s Guide to Brand Marketing and continues to be quoted in numerous marketing publications and blogs.

Perryn is an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, and named to both Gambit and ENR's "Under 40" lists. He enjoys the outdoors, sports, and animals, in fact, he spent 5 years volunteering with the Audubon Zoo as an advanced animal handler and educator. Perryn lives outside of New Orleans with his wife, two daughters, and a husky.
