May Lunch Program: Summit County

May 15, 2019
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

The Falls Event Center at Trolley Square
580 South 600 East
Salt Lake City, UT 84102

Summit County holds economic advantages over other counties in the state, primarily because there is a large resort-based tourism industry that drives economic development – which drives the second-home market with real estate. But, there are still challenges that Summit County faces when it comes to economic development, including a hiring crunch spurred by the low unemployment rate, a lack of diversity within the economy and an affordable housing shortage that could be improved through collaboration with the state.

Learn more about current economic development strategies and where there might be opportunities for growth and collaboration from our speaker:

Roger Armstrong – Summit County Council Chair
